Pastor
Pastor Brent Salsgiver was born in Harrisburg, Pa and grew up living in Wellsboro, Nashville, TN, and Bloomsburg. Pastor Brent received a BA in Psychology from West Virginia Wesleyan College. During his time in college he began work with the American Anti-Slavery Group which led him to Southern Sudan on two separate occasions to take part in fact finding and slave redemptions. In 2004 Pastor Brent was elected as a delegate from the former Central Pennsylvania Conference, now the Susquehanna Conference, to the General and Jurisdictional conference. While taking part in General Conference he was elected as the secretary for the legislative committee on Church and Society. Pastor Brent received his Master of Divinity from Wesley Seminary in Washington D.C. with a focus in Urban Ministry. During his three years of seminary Pastor Brent worked as the pastoral intern at St. Matthews United Methodist Church in inner city Baltimore. After graduating in 2007 Pastor Brent began serving as the Pastor of the West Decatur Charge, consisting of Faith United Methodist Church and Calvary United Methodist Church in the State College District. He served for three years as a member of the Northeast Jurisdiction’s Vision Table as well as the conference’s Vital Congregations Task Force. During this time Pastor Brent was also one of the fifty young United Methodist clergy in the United States to take part in the Young Pastor’s Network led by Adam Hamilton and Mike Slaughter. In 2011 Pastor Brent was appointed to serve as the Pastor of Juniata United Methodist Church in Altoona Pa, in the Altoona District. He also taught two classes for Lay Speakers School on preaching and worship. In 2015 Pastor Brent was appointed to Paxton United Methodist Church in Harrisburg. In 2016, Pastor Brent was Ordained as an Elder in the Susquehanna Conference. During his time Pastor Brent was nominated to join the Central Pa Clergy Cohort where he became a leadership fellow of the Clergy Leadership Program of Central Pennsylvania. As an alcoholic in recovery Pastor Brent is active in AA. Pastor Brent is married to his beautiful wife Mary, a Registered Nurse. They co-parent Mason (11) Molly (14) and Maxwell (16) they enjoy spending family time together, watching movies, going to sporting events, and just being goofy with their English Mastiff Ruby and Meeps their cat.

Hung Nguyen immigrated from Vietnam to the United States in 1975. One of nine children born to Vinh and Chieu Nguyen, Hung was raised in the Catholic faith and attended Catholic school through high school.
He continued his education at Kutztown University, where he met his wife, Mindy, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Design. Together, Hung and Mindy have two sons, David and Jacob.
Hung currently works at Sharp Innovations, where he brings his creativity and versatility to numerous roles, including account manager, salesperson, art director, graphic and web designer, photographer, and videographer.
Hung has been attending Fishburn UNC for more than a year and is excited and honored to be part of the Fishburn team.

Katie has worked in child care most of her life in varying capacities. She started early in volunteering at her church’s nursery, where she realized her passion for child care. She earned her Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education from the University of Valley Forge in 2016 and then after graduation started working at the Fishburn Flock. We have been fortunate to have her as the Director of Fishburn Flock since February 2022. Katie states “ I love my jobs as Director!.” In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family as well as her dog, Nero and Cat Marceline.

Office Manager
Originally from the Alabama Gulf Coast, Laurisa migrated to Pennsylvania in 2016. In her free time, she writes science fiction fantasy novels and has won multiple literary awards. When she's not doing "author things" at local craft fairs and bookstores, she enjoys hiking nearby mountain trails with her husband and hanging out with her adopted Timneh African Grey parrot, Hercules.
