from the pastor
Every day, we face multiple choices. Some are mundane while others are potentially life changing. We are bombarded with options, opportunities, new products, new ways to spend our time, and many old products in new packaging. As you review the pages of data concerning Fishburn United Methodist Church please allow me to help you see our core values.
First, children and youth genuinely matter here. From our excellent STAR 3 Early Learning Center which includes full day kindergarten, after school youth enrichment, day care and school-age wrap around care, to our engaging youth in real life ministries, we celebrate children and youth. Second, we believe everyone’s life has meaning in God. Each of us has God-given abilities and purpose for our days.
We encourage and support one another as we make a difference in the communities God has placed us in. Life abundant is a life full of meaning.
Finally, we affirm that real life needs a real faith. We intentionally focus worship and education to address real world issues. Maybe not the ones that make political fodder or great news bytes, but certainly the ones you and I face in our real, day to day, lives.
You are most certainly welcome to this place where Christian fellowship is not a catch phrase, but a reality.
