The Worship Planning Team meets monthly to plan the weekly worship services. The team membership includes all the leaders from each area involved in the service - music, drama, media, acolytes, lay speakers, bulletins, and nursery. Input and ideas are welcome from church members.

Praise Band: Fishburn’s Contemporary Praise and Worship Band started small and has been growing both musically and spiritually for about two years Praise band members are of various ages from 16 to 60 and love to sing and play instruments for His glory. The praise band leader selects music and shares his musical talents on the drums and as a male vocalist. The Praise Band currently is comprised of a pianist, guitar, violin, bass guitar, African beat from the sounds of the Djembe, tambourines, the Kielbasa and other unique noisemakers. Many vocalists work hard at making harmonies sound sweet in God’s ear. Some members compose music and lyrics for many songs for worship services. Currently, Praise Band sings on the second and fourth Sundays of each month but are working their way toward being a consistent part of Sunday worship services every week. Members of the praise team blend well and bond as a group. The Praise Band is currently recruiting new members who have both a passion for music and a willingness to make the commitment involved in leading Worship. If you have suggestions or comments for the group, would like to hear them play a specific song or If interested in joining the Praise Band, please contact Matt Edris at 533-6880 or...

ACOLYTES AND BIBLE BEARERS
One of the ways Fishburn Church reaches out to even the youngest members of our congregation is by giving them an opportunity to participate in the worship service by way of becoming either an acolyte or a Bible bearer. The primary function of the acolyte is to light the altar candles at the beginning of the worship service and extinguish them at the end of the service. The primary purpose of the Bible bearer is to carry the open Bible to the front of the church and place it at the altar at the beginning of the worship service. Children wishing to participate in either position should be in the second grade or higher. Participants go through a brief training session after which they are placed on a weekly rotating schedule. Acolytes and Bible bearers maintain their position for as long as they are willing to serve. We are extremely proud of the responsibility these future leaders of our church show when they participate by helping to “Light the World”.Jesus said, “I am the Light of the World. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12 If interested, contact Diane Corrado at 566-6570 or..
