History of Fishburn United Methodist Church
The first church on this site on Fishburn Road was a log cabin built on a native limestone foundation. The logs were donated by Philip Fishburn. The land was purchased as a place to bury Philip’s son. The church was dedicated on October 25, 1846. The land cost was $26.50 and the log building cost $700 to build.
The second church built on the site was dedicated on June 12, 1887. Cost was $1300. The town of Hershey was founded in 1903.
The third church built on this site was dedicated on April 25, 1926. It was the Fishburn Evangelical United Brethren Church (EUB). Cost was $22,907.

The fourth building/addition was dedicated on April 27, 1957 at a cost of $155,449.
The fifth building or wing was dedicated on April 12, 1970 at a cost of $235,617.
Dedication of renovated sanctuary – September, 2003. Cost $480,000.
